when buying a flat,how to calculate the undivided share for our carpet area?

Total land Area is 2550 Sq.Ft ,there are 4 flats ( Ground floor 2 & first floor 2 flats) each flat sizes are respectively 930 Sq.Ft,1064 Sq.Ft and 1100 Sq.ft and 1100 Sq.Ft.In this case how can i arrive at the UDS value for my purchase of 1064 Sq.Ft flat.I appreciate your response.

Total area of all flats = 930+1064+1100+1100=4194

The 1064 sft flat is 1064/4194x2550=646.92sft say 647 sft

The undivided share for 1064 sft flat is
647 sft of Undivided share of total land extent of 2550 sft!

How to Clean a New Carpet

A carpet contributes majorly to the looks of your home. It is always prudent to take proper care of new carpet as you have invested hugely in purchasing and installing it. Let us find out the proper ways to clean and maintain a new carpet.

Right Procedures to Vacuum a Carpet

To properly vacuum a carpet, classify your floor into three classes: high traffic, medium traffic and low traffic. High traffic portion of your carpet needs deep and frequent cleaning and almost daily vacuuming. On a medium traffic section, you can do vacuuming every other day. Low traffic area needs to be cleaned only twice a week.

To remove the abrasive grit, you should set your vacuum cleaner at a speed of at least 80 cfm (cubic feet of air per minute). A vacuum cleaner with dual-motor and double row of brushes with high suction power gives the best results.

While removing soil properly, make slower movements instead of quick ones. Over the same area, make at least four passes.

How to tackle spots:

If there is a dry spill, use a blunt edge of a spoon to scrape the soil and vacuum the excess material. While scraping, your movement should be from the outer edge to the core of the spot.

In case of wet spills, use a thick towel to absorb the material and scrape the excess material. You can use cold water to wet the spot and absorb it with tissue or thick cloth. If the spot is caused by hot substances like tea or coffee, wet them with hot water with same temperature as that of the hot substance. Do not rub the spot rather press it down and absorb as much as you can in the thick cloth. Rubbing in circular motion will make the stain spread. White towel is best cloth as you can see the colour of stain coming on it. While continuously pressing the spot, lift the towel occasionally to remove the moisture.

In case you are not able to remove the spot using water, use the professional cleaning products specially designed for carpets. While using these chemicals, use a suction block to completely remove the chemical residue. Now follow it with a cold water rinse. At the end, to dry the carpet, use blotting.

Place a stack of towels over the area of spot after lifting it as much as you can. Now press these towels by putting a weight over them. It helps remove residue which have penetrated inside.
