Countless novels of today’s contemporary society focus on struggles between adolescents, and their purpose or meaning of life. Two characters conspicuously exemplify this subject matter. They are Amir from Khaled Hosseini’s The Kite Runner, and the young Siddhartha from Herman Hesse’s literary work. They both depict the average struggle in the coming of age factor. Both of these characters struggle to find oneself on expedition of existence. Although Siddhartha struggles with the advance of finding himself through religion, Amir struggles to fathom who he already is, and what he has become.
Wow, that was really well written and intelligently spoken. I liked it, and I don't have any suggestions, sorry, but I don't think you should change anything besides the fact that you have an unnecessary comma in the first and last sentence, but you probably didn't edit it yet.=] Good luck!

Sans Soucie Art Glass Studios etches and carves the glass surface by sandblasting the glass. (Sans Soucie does NOT do any acid etching or any kind of machine or laser etching). A little lesson about sandblasting:
Sandblasted glass is a surface treatment produced by using compressed air to spray the glass with an abrasive to roughen one or both surfaces. Sandblasting the surface diffuses transmitted light, reduces glare and gives the glass a "frosted" appearance. The glass can either be etched or carved solid or with shading, which is where we leave clear areas in the glass.
"ETCHED GLASS" is a generic term for the treatment of the glass surface to diffuse transmitted light, reduce glare and give the glass a white, frosted appearance. Sans Soucie etches the glass using sandblasting. "Etching" the glass (vs. carving), means that we sandblasted the glass enough to affect the glass surface only. Etching does not go deep into the glass and creates a one-dimensional effect. "CARVED GLASS" has been sandblasted DEEPER into the surface, creating a three-dimensional sculpted image, carving a relief design, creating a much more detailed effect, obtaining differing depths within the carved image. The carved EDGES within the image will actually appear whiter and brighter, as they pick up and reflect the surrounding light. The image will appear three dimensional, as if it is floating within the glass.
