Black onyx is also known as natural colored glaze. Black onyx usually is black, but it can also be found in brown, gray and a small amount of red, blue even green materials.
Black onyx is known as the " Apache Tears" by the Indians .in the Indian legend, a group of the tribe trapped in the enemy's ambush, despite the great disparity ,all of them are completely annihilated , the bad news came to family , tears wept spilled to the ground becomes a dolphin black stone, hence get the name of " Apache Tears" . Black onyx is Mexico's national stone. Generally, Black onyx is suggested to wear the right hand, different from all the crystal which is suggested to wear left.
However, pls note, Black onyx is mainly to absorb negative energy, but it will not be cleared, so within a certain period of time it must be cleaned. There are eight methods to purify the black onyx
1. daylight purification method: take advantages of the direct sunlight, preferably in the morning until about noon the sun is the most appropriate. About 2 hours. if not careful that time s over it does not matter, but it must be recovered before sunset.
2. Moon-purification method: I have heard the full moon is best. You can use the law of yin and yang ions of sun and the moon degaussing at the same time to enhance the energy of black onyx.
3. Sea salt degaussing method: pay attention must be sea salt, which is coarse salt, put the sea salt in the clean pollution-free water, and then soak the black onyx in the water .Washed clean and then clean the next day. But for the crystal with metal or rope, less is best. for sea salt has the effect of erosion of metal or rope.
4. Using crystal druses degaussing: put the black onyx in crystal druses cave. Take advantage of the positive magnetic field released by druses to clear the negative energy of the black onyx, refresh its energy .One night is ok.
5, close to the natural law: when traveling, placed the black onyx in the stream, let it close to nature and replenish their energy.
